St. Claire

We gather on Wednesdays. Our community has grown closer over the past year; new members joined us last September and they seem to be very happy in our group.

Our group currently has two areas of service.

We prepared and served a Picnic Dinner for the women at Rachel's Women's Center, a day shelter for homeless and low income women. Some of our husbands came along and helped by carrying the heavy containers of food. Our SCC will help serve dinner to the ladies on two more occasions this year.

We maintain a matching fund to purchase Bibles for the Detention Facility. We match the amount of money we spend on one thing that we enjoyed that week... be it a movie, a cup of Starbuck's coffee or a pizza... it is up to each of our members to decide what they choose to give. We are going to send the money around the middle of November so that the director will be able to have new Bibles to give to some of the inmates at Christmas.
